Resilience-Centered, Trauma-Responsive Yoga for LGBTQ+ Survivors
With Patty Adams, MSW, LCSW, E-RYT
5:45 - 7:00pm via Zoom
FREE

  • This is a trauma-responsive, resilience-centered yoga space for LGBTQ+ survivors.
  • Participants will be invited to practice yoga in a mindful way that centers each individual’s power of choice.
  • Participants are offered the opportunity to explore: being in the present moment, making choices, taking effective action, and being open to shared authentic experience.
  • Participants will be offered options to allow for their anonymity in the space (including a choice to have cameras on/off; and the option to change their name to something generic/anonymous). All those present are asked to commit to confidentiality.
Through a resilience-centered, trauma-responsive approach to mindful movement and embodied exploration, participants will be invited to come back home to their bodies, to their inherent wholeness, and to their innate ability to heal. Creating a container specifically for survivors who identify as part of LGBTQ+ communities - and working to ensure confidentiality and anonymity - may increase the likelihood that folks who need these spaces feel safe(r) to access them.

Facilitated by Patty Adams, MSW, LCSW, E-RYT
